Desktop Support & Server Administrator - An excellent and varied support opportunity has arisen within a small midlands based IT support business.
In order to be considered for this role, it is essential that you have a full UK driving licence as you will be required to travel to different customer sites.
You must be an experienced hands-on desktop support analyst with the ability to work in both a remote helpdesk and hands-on desktop support capacity. You will have experience of supporting a Windows 2003 / Windows 2008 Server environment, with good Active Directory skills (Group Policy), Exchange 2003/2007 and a good understanding of network troubleshooting, TCP/IP. PC / desktop support, hardware and peripherals experience is also expected, along with experience of supporting MS Office, Outlook and standard applications.
Your desktop support skills must be strong, but as part of a small team you will gain exposure to Windows Servers, network equipment, switches, routers, firewalls, security etc, so you will ideally have some server administration experience, but you will have the chance to really build on your skill-set.
You will benefit from working in an ever-changing environment, with a manager who is keen to develop the team and offer career progression over time.
The salary on offer will depend on the level of server and networking skills and experience you have, but is up to £16,000 plus a company vehicle
